I was on my way to meet my father for dinner in Cape Canaveral. As I drove to the coast I spied this stunning cloud formation highlighted by the setting sun. I hurried to the scene, grabbed my camera gear from the car, and ran to the beach. After racing to set up my camera and frame a composition...I knew I was missing something. So...I waited. The light was fading fast but fortunately luck was on my side when this runner entered the scene - finalizing my composition.
On a drive with my Dad one evening in Titusville we stopped at a waterway near sunset. I spotted this drawbridge off in the distance and wondered off to get a shot.
The night I shot this photo I was trying, without luck because of cloudy weather, to get an image of the "blood moon" over this magnificent building. It so happens that a lot of students were also out trying to get a glimpse of the Red Moon, and a nice young engineering student introduced himself to me. Interestingly he plans to build the next generation of super roller coasters. This image was inspired by him.
